Time: A Holiday Wish

Time: A Holiday Wish

With the holidays fast approaching, the importance of time and how quickly it goes by is a reminder that seems a little more prevalent during this time of year. When we stop and think about the importance of time, we realize that time is truly of the essence in every facet of our lives, it is intertwined into our very existence. How we choose to use our time and make the most of it, is one for the taking. Whether consciously or subconsciously, we all in some way take the mere idea of time for granted, yet we go about our daily lives, our daily routines relying on it,  not realizing just how integral it is to us. For it’s time that allows us the ability to learn, to grow, to accomplish goals, to succeed and to fail. Time is the silent and noisy reminder that keeps us going, it creates a wide range of emotions from feelings of overjoyed happiness and excitement to feelings of nervousness, anger and anxiety to heartfelt and profound sadness. Reflecting on the importance of time, and how it has not only affected our lives but also shaped and transformed our lives is truly understated. We are partly the people we are today because of the role time has played for each of us. The good, the bad and everything in between, time has been a part of that, whether intentional or by happenstance. There’s no better time than the holidays to take a moment and reflect on what truly is important. As we gather and catch up with friends and family, we’re reminded that it’s those very moments that build memories of a lifetime, memories that we so very cherish. As we get ready to embark on the “most wonderful time of year,” my wish for you is that you make the most of your time during the holidays, that you allow yourself the ability to slow down and savor all those special moments and embrace with open arms time well spent with those who mean so much. Remember, time is impactful, time is yours for the making so make the most of your time and create those wonderful lifetime memory filled moments. From my family to yours, Happy Holidays and cheers to the New Year!
