Watermelon Mint Summer Citrus Drink

This flavorful and refreshing drink is perfect for those hot summer days. Whether lounging by the pool or hosting a backyard get together, the blend of watermelon and mint along with hints of citrus and ginger make this drink delectably delicious.


Prep Time: 10 min.  Serving Size: 10 oz.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cubed seedless watermelon (cubed into small bite size pieces)
  • ½ large fresh mint leaf (minced)
  • ¼ tsp. crystallized ginger (minced)
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice 
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 tsp. liquid sugar
  • water
  • wisk
  • blender
  • mesh strainer

Directions:

  • Place your beverage cup in the freezer to chill for 30 minutes.
  • Add cubed watermelon, ginger, and mint into the blender.
  • Using a Pyrex measuring cup, add the lime and lemon juice, then pour enough water to fill to the 1 cup line. 
  • Add 1 tsp. of liquid sugar to the lemon and lime water and whisk to blend.
  • Pour the liquid mixture over the watermelon in the blender.
  • Put the lid on the blender and blend well until all of the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Put the mesh strainer over the Pyrex measuring cup and pour the watermelon drink mixture into the mesh strainer (a little at a time), use a spoon to gently stir the mixture and help release the liquid down into the Pyrex cup.
  • Discard the watermelon pulp.
  • Add a few ice cubes to your chilled cup and pour the watermelon drink over the ice.
  • Enjoy!
